The graphic novel Torn (by Andrew Constant, Nicola Scott, Joh James & Emily K. Smith) completely sold out within a few minutes of day 2 at Melbourne’s Comic Con this year.
“We’ve had a spectacular response to Torn in Melbourne,” said Wolfgang Bylsma, Director and Editor-in Chief at Gestalt Publishing.
“We were delighted Constant was able to make the time to join the Gestalt team at this year’s Comic-Con.”
Torn is Constant’s debut graphic novel and was a finalist in the 2011 Aurealis Awards for ‘Best Illustrated Book / Graphic Novel’.
“The big picture concept is that it is the story of a wolf who is transformed into a man, in a brutal and tragic fashion. We then follow his difficult and violent journey as he tries to come to terms with his new identity in the alien landscape of a harsh and unforgiving city.” – Andrew Constant in an interview with Robot 6.
