Netflix in the USA has been streaming the animated adventure series, The Deep, based on the graphic novels published by the Australia-based small press, Gestalt Comics.
The internationally acclaimed graphic novel series was created by multi-award-winning best-selling comic book author and playwright Tom Taylor (Injustice: Gods Among Us, All-New Wolverine), illustrated by James Brouwer (Justice League Beyond) and published by Gestalt Publishing.
The Deep follows the incredible adventures of the Nektons, a family of underwater explorers who live on a submarine. There’s fearless 12-year-old Antaeus; his analytical 15-year-old sister Fontaine, an astute navigator; and their parents Will, an oceanographer, and Kaiko, a marine biologist; and, of course… Ant’s pet fish, Jeffrey! Their ongoing adventures continue a family legacy of exploring uncharted areas of the earth’s oceans to unravel the mysteries of the deep sea.
The Deep comics and graphic novels are available around the world in digital and hard copy formats:
